Position: Open Parks Committee Member

Are you passionate about local parks, trails, and community spaces? Do you want to play a direct role in keeping our neighborhoods vibrant, accessible, and green?

Town of Buchanan is looking for dedicated community members to join our Parks Committee.
The Parks and Recreation Committee serves as advisors to the Board of Supervisors and the Plan Commission on issues related to the fields of parks, including any referred policy matters that pertain to park services. 

The Park Committee are advocates for parks and is responsible for implementing the Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP). The Committee's purpose is to assess current park conditions, plan for future park improvements, and establish goals and objectives for implementation. Its vision is to create an outdoor recreation system that meets the needs of all citizens and is a point of civic pride for the Town of Buchanan.

The Parks Committee meets the 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 5:30 pm.
