About Buchanan Fire & Rescue

Buchanan Fire & Rescue is a volunteer department currently served by thirty (30) volunteer firefighters. 

 

The Administration and Command of the Department is as follows:

In 2007 the Fire Department responded to 72 calls for service.  These calls included requests for jaws, vehicle and structure fires, gas leaks, accident clean up and many other fire service calls.  In addition, we responded to three (3) requests from our neighboring communities for "mutual aid" which is assistance that we provide for each other when the need for additional personnel or fire apparatus is needed.
