Park Impact Fee Needs Assessment Study and Ordinance
The Town of Buchanan has adopted a Park Impact Fee Ordinance and public facilities needs assessment study. Park impact fees will be used to develop new park facilities in the future. Impact fees are only charged to new development in the Town. Fees collected are to be used only for capital purchases related to parks and recreation.
Town Park Committee
The Town of Buchanan established a Park Committee in 2009 to assist in decision making and planning for all Town parks. All residents are invited to attend meetings which are held approximately every two months. The Committee always welcomes input and suggestions on how to improve our parks. The Committee is currently seeking new members, in particular new members that live near or frequent Springfield Park or the the Town Hall Park.
