Darboy Community Park (Corner of Noe & Midway Roads in the Town of Harrison) is a park jointly built, owned and maintained by the Towns of Harrison and Buchanan. This park has a shelter available for rent. There are wooded trails, an asphalt walking trail, soccer fields, 2 playground areas, 2 basketball courts and a sand volleyball court.
The shelter at Darboy Community Park can be rented to Town of Buchanan and Harrison residents for $26.25 or to non-residents for $52.50. There is an additional deposit of $100.00 that will be returned following the event, provided no damage or clean-up is required. Park Rules:
- Park rules are enforced under Town of Harrison Ordinance 13
- Park hours 6:00 AM until 10:00 PM
- Motorized vehicles allowed in parking areas only
- No fireworks are permitted without permission of the Town of Harrison Board
- No firearms are permitted
- No alcoholic beverages shall be consumed or possessed after 10:00 PM
- No sale of food, beverages shall be permitted without permission from the Town of Harrison Board
- No littering allowed, please use containers provided
- No pets or domesticated animals including horses are allowed, this includes the wooded areas
- No bands or amplified sound equipment shall be used without permission from the Town of Harrison Board
- Camping or overnight activities are prohibited without permission from the Town of Harrison Board
- No golfing or archery equipment allowed in park
- No glass containers are permitted
- Violations of park rules shall be subject to prosecution
- Any person damaging or destroying property shall be prosecuted
- Disturbing, molesting, defacing, removing, damaging, or destruction of any trees, plants, flowers, animals or birds is strictly prohibited
- Fires allowed in approved grills
- Police have been informed to ticket park rule violators
