"NEW" 2010 HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE CLEAN SWEEP PROGRAM

The Household Hazardous Waste Clean Sweep program has changed.  Residents are now able to dispose of their hazardous materials 12 times per year at the Outagamie County Solid Waste facility located at 1419 Holland Road, Appleton.  The program will run May - October on the following collection days and times:

• The first Wednesday of the month from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
• The third Saturday of the month from 7:00 am to 11:00 am
• Appointments are required by calling 920-832-5277 Option #3

Year Round Hazardous Waste Disposal:

Outagamie County residents can bring household hazardous waste, free of charge, to the Brown County Hazardous Waste Facility during hours of operation.  They are open on Thursdays from noon to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., year round (excluding holidays).  For more information they can be reached at (920)492-4950.  They are located at 2561 South Broadway Drive in the Village of Ashwaubenon.

Please Note: Household products not stored properly during the winter months may need to be thrown away due to damage from freezing.  To avoid this, read the product labels carefully and follow directions when applying, storing and disposing of household hazardous products.  This will keep your family safe, save you money, and help to protect the environment.
