2011 Tax Bills

2011 Tax bills were mailed December 7, 2011. The Outagamie County Treasurer is Dina Mumford, phone number 832-5065.  If your mailing address has changed please update it with the County Treasurer's office.  All tax bills are sent to the last recorded individual/address on record at the Outagamie Treasurer's office. Name changes and or corrections need to be made at the Register of Deeds office, 410 S. Walnut Street, Appleton.

IN FULL & 1ST INSTALLMENT.  The first installment was due to the Town of Buchanan by January 31, 2012. We can no longer accept 2011 tax payments at the Buchanan Town Hall. All payments now must be made payable to the Outagamie County Treasurer and paid at, or mailed to, the Outagamie County Treasurer, 410 S. Walnut St., Appleton, WI  54911.

SECOND INSTALLMENT. Payable to Outagamie County Treasurer by July 31, 2012. Address: 410 S. Walnut St., Appleton, WI  54911. The Town cannot accept 2nd installment payments or late 1st installment payments.

RECEIPTS.  If you require a receipt, enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope along with your tax bill and payment. A receipt will NOT be provided unless a self-addressed, stamped envelope is included. All paid tax information is available on Outagamie County's website after January 31st.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS. To pay property taxes by Credit or Debit card the information is available online at Outagamie County's website: www.co.outagamie.wi.us (Department-Treasurer/Tax Listing).

Special Assessment Codes: The following special assessment codes might appear on your tax bill: 04 Street Lights; 14S Storm Water Utility; 10P POWTS;  13 Garbage/Refuse Collection; 15/16 Delinquent Water/Sewer. Tax balances can be viewed on the Outagamie County Web Site: Tax and Land Inquiry Screen.

New Homeowners - Lottery Credit Application Available

The Lottery and Gaming Credit is a credit applied to your property tax bill that reduces the amount of taxes due on your bill.  Homeowners who used the home as their primary residence on January 1, 2011 are eligible to receive the credit.

You must complete the application form in order to receive the credit.  Forms are available at the Town Hall and the Department of Revenue's website Form #LC-110 at www.dor.state.wi.usIf you have received the credit in past years and have not moved from the home, you do not need to reapply.  The credit will be automatically added to your tax bill.

The 2011 Tax Rate Summary details tax rates of all applicable jurisdictions in the Town of Buchanan and provides tax rate information for the last two years by School District.
